My Mini Baby Series TWO

I have been stalking Smyths toys web site for the best part of a week. Watched as the deliveries started up north and in Scotland and worked there way down. This morning (Thursday19th June) the computer announced they had at last arrived. So off Amy and I whizzed to get the series two babies. Smyths at this time are getting boxes of 24 and I was hoping for a box. No, I do not consider this selfish or greedy it's is a first come first served world. As to any doubles Amy also wanted some and I was thinking I might sell the others at what they cost me plus postage.

Anyway when we got there they only had 18 balls left, they had come in on Wednesday but for some reason did not show on the website until Thursday?

So we had 18 balls and the box which included the freebies.... pink girl twins.

Back of the box shows what sets you can get

My other daughter Sophie had gone out so Amy and I only opened two balls, while we awaited her return.

We opened a second set of twins and the Aqua pool baby.

I also took this time to weigh all the balls. List at the bottom of the page.

Also got a mini baby series one for comparison. New one are bigger and have so much more detail.

Please excuse the floof on the first baby
I was trying to show the difference...

The only downside to the new babies I can see as yet (apart from them still sleeping) is the seam on the head.

Then my other daughter came home and it was balls time...

With the highchair just look out that you have the little clip the try fits on to up the right way! Not sure the baby is old enough for the biscuits?

The crib is cute and pretty easy to fit together

This twin set was pretending (by weight) to be a crib!

The little tape measure is a printed ribbon.

Scales are fun and the 'work'. This set comes with the ear 'thing' and thermometer

And this set patient record and syringe.

This set is the only set that does come with a nappy.

No way would I give apple halves to a small baby!

Why would you put a swim hat on this poor baby?
All in all I'm very happy with my babies and with only a few doubles Amy was happy too!

These are all the ones I got so I'm just missing the boy/girl twins and the  lilac cot.

The Aqua set

The pink set

The lilac set
A better look at the babies

There looks to be six different coloured babies
Below shows the colour mix.
Top row are the pink set babies (bunnies)
Middle row are the  aqua (shark) babies
Bottom row the lilac (cloud) babies

Close ups

There are no really noticeable differences with the babies other than colour apart from the red heads.
For me the hair looks quite different for each doll. But I guess if you look real close they are all just a tiny bit different?

And now for those ball weights. I had to use my kitchen scales and I do think the weights might be off just a tiny bit. But not enough for confusion. (I hope)

65/66g High Chair
71/72g Scales
96/97g Pool
106/107 Cot
I also think there might be a little bit of a difference because of the different accessories?
Buggy's not sure why such a difference?
107g for the lilac twins?
110g for the pink twins?
I would have double checked but can't really do that once they were opened!

Oh, all these are from Smyths Toys in UK priced at £9.99.
