How many dolls are getting their own fully furnished apartments? The floor is great, I need something like that. I do not know how you are managing to do this, I used to want to do this and then realized I just didn't have the necessary gumption to do it. I am eagerly awaiting the finish of "The Priors". Can I ask where you are picking up when you start back with the stories?
I still have about 20 apartments and a school to build after Darius's apartment!I'm working my way through my old episodes and hope to have them all reposted within the next couple of weeks and then I will be posting a round up for every one then carrying on where I left off! So the new episodes will be starting in about three weeks! This has been a daunting project and a LOT bigger than I thought it would be! I've learned a lot (I've even brought a saw!)LOL I think when you start diorama's make it simple... a room box. Use the furniture you have set it out on a table or shelf (even an old Barbie house) Try respraying a few old pieces of Barbie furniture. Look in junk shop etc for accessories! Place mats make good flooring. Man's hankies for bed sheets ladies hankies for table clothes. A doll box can be made into a bed or a wardrobe amongst other things. Magazines and catalogues are a place to find TV's, pictures, mirrors, clocks, even fires and cookers. I like to buy cheap packs of floor tiles and I'm a terror in the wallpaper isles looking for samples. Good luck, play around with what you have already and most important HAVE FUN!
Wow. This is beyond amazing! The details are so beautiful. I wish I had the time to do all of this. I'll have to post about this article on my blog. This is so cool!
I am in love with your bar- everything in it is PERFECT! Squee! I love the lighting of the entire thing, that takes great planning. I am working on moving my doll room to a bigger room so I can have more space for Barbietown...This is really amazing.
This is really super amazing! I just love what you've done! I have to work on 1 set and break it down each time; what a bummer! Just remember to have fun and don't let it get the best of you; take it easy. We can wait for you :D
You did a fantastic job on the nightclub! Simply amazing. I love your photos and the different lighting. Glad to hear it's only 3 weeks before we start seeing new episodes.
Hello from Spain: I really like your Dariu's night club. Have a very nice e elegantfurniture. I love the escelera circular. Your collection of dolls and clothes is wonderful. Congratulations on your creations. I see you're still working on the apartments Darios ... Keep in touch.
Susannah, the night club is Fab-U-Lous!!!! I love the silver... and when the lights go on, it's simply Magical. I want to be in the crowd!!! But I doubt that the handsome bouncer on the red carpet would let me in ;-)
Some more wardrobe ideas.... I covered the shoe storage with plexiglass held on with magnets. As you can see there are so many things you can do with this basic idea. Big boxes, small boxes. With rails and/or shelving.
I have a TON of doll clothing and after years of rummaging through bags and never finding what I'm looking for or even remembering what I have so I thought it was time I made some quick, simple and cheap storage. The cheapest is to use a doll box and just fit a bar for hanging but I wanted something just a little more so this is what I came up with.... You will need Foamcore board I used 5mm thick board 60cm x 84cm Foam 2 Foam glue You can use any glue but this works best I think Ruler Tape measure Pencil Something sharp to cut with (craft knife Cutting board I have a big board but a smaller one would work Metal ruler if possible (Helps with cutting a straight line) The rods are the metal rods from the Integrity Doll stands. They are great as they are adjustable. All of the above can be found on E.Bay or craft stores I'm giving you the sizes I use but you can make your units any size you wish. Measure 40cm longways mark and cut put other piece of board t
I've touch on this before but here I will go through the prose step by step... First up room temperatures. Even before you start if you are going to use spray paint then outside or a well ventilated room is a must. Not hot, not cold and not raining. Oh, and no wind...very important no wind if spraying outside... not an issue if working indoors. Remember the sprays do like to float about a bit and all surfaces need to be covered or use a spray box. This can be just an old cardboard box or something you make yourself. My table in the garden is just for spraying and is well away from the plants etc Another must is a mask, I do a lot so mines a bit fancy (I also have Asthma) but a basic mask from your local DIY would be fine Spray paints are easy enough to find just look around your local DIY or craft store, there is also E.Bay and Amazon. Start by cleaning what you want to paint then once dry I always use a primer, they come in three colours white, brown and
oh wow, I'm speachless. it's so wonderful done!!!
