My Mini Baby Mum

She has just arrived, i have ordered all three but only the blonde is out in UK. I brought mine from Smyths £19.99 and have the other two ordered from Amazon at £19.99 each one due in August and one September. 

She is nicer than I expected, but I do wish she had jointed knees. After all they gave her jointed elbows and wrists so she can hold the baby why not go that little bit extra and let her sit down in comfort? 

The box art is nice and good sized window so you can see what you are getting.


Doll is fixed in with bands so easy to remove, but if keeping boxed I would guess the bands will rot over time?


 

Her hair is very soft head is a little bigger than Barbie

Now to the belly..



 The shell removes and can be replaced or you can flip around the flat stomach for after baby is born.  Baby is in a gel ball, I did not remove the baby as I want to keep as is... for now.




 Now for the size of the mum, she is the same size as the average Barbie

Her feet are a little bigger, I will have to see what Mini Brand shoes will fit her. 
 
 


I think she will fit in well in a Barbie world.

Lets hope that now we have a 1:6 scale mum that we will get more 1:6 scale items for the babies...

Simple Wardrobes And Storage

I have a TON of doll clothing and after years of rummaging through bags and never finding what I'm looking for or even remembering what I have so I thought it was time I made some quick, simple and cheap storage.  The cheapest is to use a doll box and just fit a bar for hanging but I wanted something just a little more so this is what I came up with.... You will need Foamcore board I used 5mm thick board 60cm x 84cm Foam 2 Foam glue You can use any glue but this works best I think Ruler Tape measure Pencil Something sharp to cut with (craft knife Cutting board I have a big board but a smaller one would work Metal ruler if possible (Helps with cutting a straight line)  The rods are the metal rods from the Integrity Doll stands. They are great as they are adjustable.  All of the above can be found on E.Bay or craft stores I'm giving you the sizes I use but you can make your units any size you wish.
