My Mini Baby...Make it fit

I'm a Barbie/fashion doll collector. I love to make dioramas, I also love the My Mini Babies. So put then together and what do you get? Well, in my case a mess!

In series one the little silicon mass produced babies were like nothing we had had seen before. You can buy one of a kind one that are often 100's of pounds but these were only £9(ish) AND they came with extras. In series one we had three skin tones ...with variations. The nursery extras came in three colours pink, green or lemon. With four items pram, changing table, cot and rocker so 12 in total. These all came in 'blind balls' so you had no idea what was in the ball until you opened it.

(no I can't find the pink mat for the changer )

While the babies are a perfect size for fashion dolls, the furniture not so much.

The rockers are a perfect size.

 .....................

The changing table is way to small

Unless...

you use two or four to make them bigger.

A good size as is for Stacie (Janet)

 ......................

The prams

Well not much can be done with these, just give them to Stacie or the smaller Shelly/Kelly/Chelsea dolls (Mattel do love to change her name) to play with. If you collect the really old dolls then Tutti.

But they do come apart and the carry part can work with the fashion dolls. (Although for me they are a little small)

But could be used with a new born (Midge) baby.

....................

Same goes with the cots

Work well with the little ones

You could add dowels and make them taller, but the cots still look tiny to me, or sit them on something.

 On to series two

This series we have a slightly bigger baby with two new body styles and six skin tones. For the nursery still the colour way pink (with lemon) aqua (with pink) and purple (with aqua). There's a highchair, scales, pool and cot. Also the much harder to find twins in double buggies. So for this series 15 to collect.  Again in 'blind balls' although the double buggies do weigh slightly more than the cots and a lot more than the highchair, scales and pool.

Now does the furniture worth with fashion dolls?

Scales, yes (but who wants to be weighing the baby all the time?)

...................

High chair

Nope this one is a donation to the smaller dolls again. I guess you could put it on something and use it but looks odd.

..................

Pool

Yes, I think you can make it work (although baby would be a little young maybe?)

.................

Double buggy

Another donation item BUT you do get two babies for the price of one AND they have clothes.

.....................

Cot

Now this is a fun one.

With a few adjustments you can do all sorts with this.

Cot as is

Doubled up

(strange but true, I did not notice the baby I used was the bunny baby and matched the wallpaper until I reviewed the photos)

If you use blue-tac instead of glue can still go back to two cots if you want.

As the rail comes in bits you can make the cot bigger

Double up and you have the right height for fashion dolls.

It could then make a play pen for baby or pets

...........................

I'm also working on an oval one.

I will be posting detailed 'how tos '  on all the changers shown above plus some more I'm still working on.
