First Post In A Looooong Time

Life can be such a PAIN I have had soooo little time for me let alone my Dioramas. But Sophie started college on Monday and Amy this morning so now I have some time AT LAST!
First though before I start about me and mine, this diorama site link was posted on facebook and I wanted to pass it along. It's OK no need to be on facebook to look it's on wordpress. It's called davidneat

 http://davidneat.wordpress.com/

But now I think I will be able to come back to some much needed doll/diorama therapy?
The doll room is still one BIG mess as I find myself working not only forwards but back and sideways too. After the floods earlier in the year when all the dioramas on the ground level had to be removed .... then returned and I ended up re-doing a lot of it I then decided to clean a few cars and find a HUGE damp patch (now fixed) and cars are now cleaned. I then decided to start back at the begging and fix all the stuff I worked on before I learnt that I was doing it all wrong! Well, not ALL wrong but just not .... right! So all the rooms that are along the walls I will be re-jigging.
Confession time.... I have a diorama phobia DOORS! Yes, I just can't work them out and well.... it's a difficult thing for a doll getting from room to room without a door or 50! Even if you go open plan I think a bathroom needs a door and you need a door to get in and out of a property...right? So I will over the next couple of weeks MAKE myself work on doors, lots and lots of doors!
Just for fun this is what me doll room looks like today....
View as you walk in the door on the ground floor you can see the entrance to the supermarket, on the first floor is the ladies department of Edwards store. on the next floor you can see a bus and a caravan this will be the beach one day and at the very top (will be) a winter scene.
Here you can see my desk and above a odds shelf. Opposite on each shelf is a different dolls apartment.
On the ground floor is a restaurant and above a range of apartments. In front you can see some of my wallpaper collection.
In front of you is the hospital. I have to redo this as I'm not happy with it at the moment.
On the left of this picture is the airport and in the background you can see a plane. The dolls are a mix of builders and airport staff. (Looks like they are queuing up to get in?)
                                          Airport
                     Another view of the airport

Close up of part of the hospital. next to it you can see the hotel pool area (or you could if it was not so crowded!)

Hospital entrance (in need of some work)

Bottom two floors are the nightclub and above that Darius's apartment. On the top two floors this is the home of Kandy and Chris.
A close up of the hotel pool area.
Hotel penthouse with it's bowed ceiling and bubbled walls (needs a re-vamp)
On the darkened out shelves is the school
School to the left and shopping mall to the right. Directly in front one day these will be homes for my dolls.
The room with a purple wall will be a cinema and below this is the beach shelf!
Ground floor supermarket and above the wedding department.
At the far end is the hotel and far right nightclub. In the middle is the school and close up you can just see Rumi's home
 A better look at Rumi's lounge/dining/kitchen
Luke and Eden's bedroom and bathroom.
One day this will be Jed place
And below more homes in the making

I have just finished re-jigging (love that word) the shopping mall and I have taken the airport apart three times now I WILL MAKE IT WORK! LOL
The hospital is in a bit of a mess too and I will need to work on this as well as the hotel and 22 homes. THEN I can carry on where I left off.
